Originally from Bulgaria, Roumen Boudev came to the United States in 2000 to continue his art career. His talent was well received and earned him a prestigious commission to create a mural ceiling at the Detroit Opera House which he completed in 2002. He is a Professor of Life Drawing at the College for Creative Studies and at the Birmingham, Bloomfield Art Center. His masterful technique of painting is realized in a variety of media. His styles also vary from abstract to hyper-realism. He has received numerous awards and his work had been exhibited and collected internationally including Europe, Asia & North America.
