YANGON, 22 Feb - The Government of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of Mr Naceur Boucherit as Ambassador or Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Union of Myanmar in succession to HE Mr Tewfik Abada.
Mr Naceur Boucherit joined the foreign service after having obtained a diploma of National School of Administration of Algiers in 1979. He had served in various capacities at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassies in Conakry, Bern and Ottawa. He has been serving as Algerian Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 3 September 2004.
Mr Naceur Boucherit will be concurrently accredited to the Union of Myanmar with residence in Hanoi, Vietnam. He is 48 years old, married and has three children.
