Don Boucher is a retired Music Educator who taught for 30 years in the

BH-BL school system, Don earned both his B.S. and M.S in Music Education from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.He is a highly accomplished trumpeter and an adjunct Trumpet Instructor at SCCC.Don continues to perform in various orchestras, bands, and the Schenectady Brass Quintet.He is married to the former Rebecca Merrill, also retired from the BH-BL Schools.

Don Boucher was born in Queens, NY in 1932 and graduated from Mineola High School after living in eight different locations.He worked briefly for Doubleday Books before serving in the Army during the Korean conflict.After his service he attended the Crane school of Music at SUNY Potsdam and graduated with a degree in music education.Prior to joining the music faculty in the BH/BL school system he taught at Parishville, NY and Rutland, Vermont.Widowed in 1986, he is now married to Becky, a former colleague.Retired from teaching, he is a long time member of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra and performs with other groups as well.
