    Collingwood, was a Fellow of Pembroke College and the Collingwood Centre at Cardiff University is co-directed by Professor David Boucher, who is Director of the Graduate School in the Humanities.In his welcoming address, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Provost of the College of Humanities and Sciences, Professor Haydn Ellis, said the establishment of the graduate school was an exciting development which brought people together to look at things in an interdisciplinary way, adding that it will provide many educational, welfare and training opportunities.

    He then introduced Sir Roger commenting that his 1954 athletic milestone also represented the breaking of a psychological barrier by providing an indicator of what human endeavour can achieve.
