The Remparts didn't sign Rubin in a Shawn-Green-on-the-Mets-will-bring-Jewish-fans-to-Shea-Stadium move, Bouchard says.

"He worked a lot with us this year," Nicole Bouchard, the Remparts' director of team services, said Friday.

"He was talking to our coach (former minor league defenseman Eric Lavigne) almost every day, and we sent him videotapes of games," Bouchard said."He's been a very good consultant for us."

Nicole Bouchard, the Remparts' media relations director, said that with Benjamin playing so little, it was difficult to put together lineups, and it was hard for the full-time players.It was also hampering Benjamin's chances of advancing in the game, she said.
