   BLOOMINGTON -- For 25 minutes on Tuesday, Jackie Bottrell wasn't director of corporate administration at AFNI Inc.
   
   Instead, she was:
   
   • A patient who wanted to store a pint of blood before her surgery.
   
   • A witness to child abuse and neglect who wanted to know how to help the child.
   
   • The mother of a 4-year-old who needed to prepare for kindergarten, a 3-year-old who wasn't talking and a child with behavior problems.
   
   Bottrell was among McLean County business people who participated in an exercise to learn more about programs and services of United Way agencies.
   
   "It's an eye-opening experience," Bottrell said during the exercise.
