   Mr. Bottomley said he worries his fellow board members will back down from school closures in the face of angry parents from the schools, and said special education and full-time kindergarten - two areas where the board spends several million dollars more than it receives from the province - could be casualties if they don't.
   
   "Every school we close means we can probably provide special education cheaper," he said.
