She has had her focus in health care for women for more than 20 years. Prior to receiving her certification in Nurse Midwifery, her jobs have included Assistant Director of Women's and Children's Services at Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, California, and Nurse Manager of the obstetric unit at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Case Western Reserve University.
"For a new mom, most everything is uncertain. Karen made me feel so comfortable; that being pregnant is the most natural thing and that I was going to do it with flying colors," says Soibian Spring. "She is super with patients and gives everyone the same treatment taking the time to answer questions. Karen has this way of comforting you while in labor, during the most terrifying moment. She is generous, compassionate and confident. I had a wonderful experience delivering at Mammoth Hospital."
