Louise founded Douglas Deakin Young in 1974 and for the first 14 years she was Managing Director and latterly Chairman until the Company was merged with Duncan Lawrie in February 2005.Louise is perhaps best known as the presenter of BBC Radio 4's Money Box programme which she broadcast between 1977 and 1992.She has been a non-executive director of Trinity Mirror, London Weekend Television and CGNU as well as Chairman of her local radio station and is a professional trustee of several pension schemes.She was awarded a CBE in 1993 for services to the Top Salaries Review Body and broadcasting.
