   Karen is a Vice President of the firm and Portfolio Manager. She is responsible for developing and articulating our fixed income strategy. Karen has extensive experience utilizing taxable and tax-exempt strategies and securities. She also serves on Boston Financial Management's Information Technology Committee.
   
   Karen joined the firm in 2006 after sixteen years with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., where she was Vice President and managed institutional as well as individual client portfolios. Her previous experience was as Vice President and institutional portfolio manager at Bank of Boston for eight years.
   
   Karen graduated from Syracuse University with a Ph.D. and MPA from the Maxwell School. She is a member of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston.
   
   Karen lives with her husband and daughter in Newton, MA. She is an active participant in the Newton school community. Currently she serves on the School Council of her daughter's school and is a Director and past President of the Board of her daughter's after-school program. Karen is an avid bicyclist, hiker, and gardener.
