    She is a member of the Committee for Economic Development for Australia (CEDA) and of Chief Executive Women; chair of Australians for the Return of the Parthenon Marbles; trustee of the Opera Benevolent Fund; and a life member of Musica Viva Australia.She was a board member of Opera Australia and the Australian Institute of Arts Management, and deputy chair of AFS International Programs (New York) and of the Sydney Leadership Programme 2002 (Benevolent Society of NSW).She was also Australia's cultural commissioner for the 2004 Olympics.

    An English and history teacher by training, Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, a Diploma of Education from the University of New Zealand, and has trained extensively in organizational development and commercial mediation.
