Peter Boton, founder and CEO of JFastTrack, has more than thirty years experience as a computing professional. He has held a wide variety of positions, including programmer, business analyst, manager, and educator. His work has included projects for Ford, Electronic Data Systems, Continental Airlines, AT&T, and others. Based in New Jersey, he has provided training all across the United States. He is a Sun Certified Java Programmer.
Peter is also a Certified Computing Professional, a distinction awarded by the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals. As one of the nation's top scorers on the certification exams, he was selected to join the Institute's technical councils. He served multiple terms as test manager, created the Institute's C++ exam, and was appointed editor of the Institute's Exam Review Study Guide.
He was a member of committee X3J9 of the American National Standards Institute and served as editor of that committee's report on object-oriented language extensions.
Peter's teaching experience includes Java, object-oriented analysis and design, and C++. He has taught courses at several New Jersey colleges, as well as for companies including Ford and Electronic Data Systems. He develops his own training materials, including most of the materials currently used in the JFastTrack courses.
An avid bridge player, he holds a teaching accreditation from the American Contract Bridge League.
Peter received his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.
As of this writing, he is consulting for a financial software company, working with servlets, JSP, and Struts.
