Harris Botnick, president of Worthmore Jewelers Inc. in Atlanta, has sold the Carrera Speed Time line for about a year and a half and reports a positive customer response.
"The Carrera line offers a unique look, one that appeals to both men and women. If it works in your mix, it's an easy sale," Botnick said. "For us, the line works because it hits a price point in sports watches [and] is very refined for this price point. What we hear from customers is, 'Is that all they cost?'"
Retailer Don Bennett, president of Watches By Gosh in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, said his store has carried the Carrera line for two years with solid results.
"The customer likes them because they are high quality, comfortable and sporty," Bennett said.
