   Norma started in the CEI lab as a very insecure, shy and afraid first-grader. She did not know the letters of the alphabet and could not read words. She began with CEI's Letter Recognition program and then moved on to ELS. At the end of Norma's fourth grade year she had advanced from an instructional reading level of 1.2 (first grade) to 5.1; in reading comprehension from below level to 7.3.

   Norma is now a fifth grader and has been exited from ELS. Congratulations Norma!
