   James Boswick, manager of Blessings Christian Marketplace on Upper James, will close store on Sundays.

   In Hamilton, Sundays represented about 5 per cent of weekly sales, said James Boswick, manager of the Upper James Street store.
   
   "We took a bit of a hit financially for doing it, but I thought it was the right thing to do," Boswick said. "And I think over time we're going to recover that by gaining back some of the customers who were shopping elsewhere."
   
   A number of long-time customers boycotted Blessings, he said, some on their own steam, some under the direction of their pastor.
   
   "It was frustrating and hurtful, but I respected them for doing it," said Boswick, a part-time divinity student who preaches occasionally at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church.
   
   Three months before previous owners Les and Debby Reynolds decided to open on Sundays, Boswick had preached against it.
