KEWANEE -- Iris M. Boswell, 88, of Kewanee, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at Kewanee Care Home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kewanee, the Rev. Chris Haake officiating.Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, with a rosary at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee.Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, of which she was a member; or to Kewanee Hospital Hospice.

She was born July 22, 1915 in Kewanee, the daughter of Elvis and Emma (Krahn) Engel.She married Earnest R. "Ernie" Boswell on June 6, 1940 in Kewanee.He preceded her in death on May 29, 1998.
