Born June 6, 1918, in Geauga County, to Robert Lee and Francis (Lewis) Bostwick. An avid reader, he loved his books and was a strong believer in the importance of the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and then became a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6519 in Chardon. He had a special fondness for his dogs. Mr. Bostwick was a printer and the publisher of the "Weakly Mail/Journal/Messenger" newspaper. He and his wife, Katherine, purchased the newspaper in 1950, when it was a single page shopper.
