Eileen F. Bostwick, Ph.D., Vice President, Clinical, Regulatory and Quality Affairs is a senior regulatory and clinical affairs executive experienced in developing human biopharmaceutical products from preclinical research through early stage clinical trials, and through regulatory approval and licensure for veterinary therapeutic biologicals.Most recently Dr. Bostwick was Vice President, Research and Development and one of the founders of GalaGen, a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of biologically active proteins from cow's milk for human health applications.She managed preclinical and clinical research programs, and had quality assurance and regulatory affairs responsibilities.Previously, Dr. Bostwick was a Senior Immunologist at the 3M Company involved in medical device development and technical support for various internal health care groups.Dr. Bostwick earned her Ph.D. in Physiology, with minors in pharmacology and immunology, from the University of Minnesota in 1983.

Brooklyn, NY - February 10, 2003 - New York Health Care, Inc. (Nasdaq SmallCap: NYHC) today announced that The Bio Balance Corp., ("Bio Balance"), the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, has named Eileen F. Bostwick, Ph.D., as its Director of Research and Development.

Dr. Bostwick will be responsible for research and development affairs at Bio Balance, focusing her initial efforts on working alongside Dr. Robert Hoerr, its Director of Medical and Regulatory Affairs, in assisting Bio Balance with its effort to obtain GRAS approval for its first product offering, PROBACTRIXtm.

From July of 1992 until February of 2002, Dr. Bostwick was employed by GalaGen, where she authored and co-authored 4 INDs, and established clinical and research collaborations with leading academic and governmental investigators in the development and evaluation of biopharmaceuticals products for the treatment of AIDS-related and infectious GI diseases.

Dr. Bostwick earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Michigan State University and her Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from the University of Minnesota in 1983.Dr. Bostwick holds four patents and has published numerous articles, presentations and abstracts.

However, we believe the recent edition of Dennis O'Donnell's experience (R.Ph and previously the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Solgar division of Wyeth), to the expertise of Robert Hoerr, MD, Ph.D., Director of Medical and Regulatory Affairs and Eileen Bostwick, Ph.D., Director of Research and Development, we believe a significant portion of that risk has been mitigated.
