YMCA Board Chair Carol Bostwick described her as quiet, efficient and steadfast, and as someone who consistently puts forth "service with a smile."

In addition to the awards, the Board of Directors presented its 2006-2007 officers.John Green, management consultant for the YMCA of USA, led the installation of the new officers, including: Carol Bostwick, board chair; Rich Martin and Joe Chatelle, vice chairs; Mike Bonk, secretary; Chuck Steichen, treasurer; Frank Jacobson, assistant treasurer; Bruce Solari and Paul Kott, members at large; and Irv Pickler, immediate past chair.

With educational workshops, musical entertainment and important networking opportunities, the 2006 General Assembly was a memorable experience for the Anaheim Family YMCA's representatives, which included: YMCA staff Paul Andresen, Joan Ring, Kathy Bates, Laura Parris, Karla Sherman, Tina Coca, Joanne Ament, Donald Cato, Cynthia Wilson and Sheanna Overhuls; and YMCA board members Carol Bostwick, Rich Martin and Kay Carpenter.
