Alvin Bostwick
...
An institution in Albertan pro wrestling, Alvin Bostwick has functioned as ring announcer for nearly every fed in the province since 1975. Alvin was a product of the 70s British wrestling scene, a noted manager and occasional jobber in the federations as he studied for his sociology degree at York. In the 1980s, however, Alvin married a Canadian woman and moved out to Alberta, where he became a part time professor at the University of Alberta. In the meantime, however, he became involved in the local wrestling scene and his considerable voice gained him jobs instantly as the ring announcer in a variety of small federations. And so life went on, until the closing of RCW in 2003, where he settled into teaching at the U of A ... that is until he was contacted by his old friend Kurt Richards, who insisted that he was the only possible ring announcer for CRW. Personality: Bostwick is a cheerful, clever man who's extremely popular amongst the wrestlers and generally well liked by the fans. His attitude towards the sport is enthusiastic, bordering on theatrical, as it has been noted nobody can say 'The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL' with the gusto that Bostwick employs. -
