Born August 27, 1942 in Newnan, GA, Mrs. Boston was a retired teacher with the Dougherty County School System and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She received her bachelor's degree from Albany State College (University) and a master's degree from Georgia State University. She was also a member of Las Amigas Civic and Social Club, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Delta Epa Omega, Circle 2 Mission and Floral Club.
Survivors include her husband, Willie C. Boston of Albany; two daughters, Pamela Boston Sheard (Sammy Jr.) of Albany and Sonji Bates Boston (Timothy) of Stone Mountain; five grandchildren, Brandon Sheard of Atlanta, Frances Sheard of Statesboro, Samantha Sheard, Kristen Sheard and Sammy C. Sheard, all of Albany; a sister, Mary Owens of Newnan; two brothers, Roy Owens Jr. (Martha) and Johnny B. Owens, all of Newnan; special sister and friend, Noveline Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
