WILLIAM S. BOSTON
...
William S. Boston received his degree from Marshall University and has also studied at Ohio State and Ohio University. He went on to teach in Cabell County for 14 years. He took two years off to sell insurance. He was the principal at Crum Middle School for three years and Simms Valley for six years.
He proudly claims West Virginia as his home state.Having been in another state, he thinks West Virginia shouldn't be second to any other state.Mr. Boston gave us many reasons for coming back to Wayne County. He likes the administration level in the schools and he likes the kids.He said he loves being at Tolsia High School because everybody sticks together.Mr. Boston told us he's never been in a high school as an administrator. He said his discipline is going to be the same as it was in middle school.
When asked why he became an administrator, Mr. Boston stated that he thought he could correct some of the problems he saw when he was a classroom teacher.
We asked him what he planned on doing with the 9th and 10th grade. He said with the 9th grade he's going to work on maturity and get them more focused on their career. He wants the 10th to start thinking about their career choices and get them more serious about their studies.
Mr. Boston wants the students to know about his three distinctive rules: don't lie to him, treat others like you want to be treated, and absolutely do not talk back.He wants the parents to know he's glad to be here and plans on staying here for a while.
