   The Florida Highway Patrol recognized Washington County School bus driver Tonya Boston this morning for her outstanding defensive driving efforts which resulted in preventing serious injury or death to the students who were riding on her bus on February 27 when it was hit by a log truck.

   Doug Paskewitz, School Superintendent Jerry Tyre and other Washington County School and County officials presented Boston with a special commendation.

   Boston's quick thinking and excellent judgment played a significant role in averting a sure tragedy in this incident," Brown added. "She is deserving of congratulations from law enforcement officers, the parents of the children riding on her bus, and the entire community."
