   Allen is a frequent spokesperson on diversity issues at conferences and other public events.He is regularly interviewed by the media, including appearances on CNN's Martin Luther King Jr. Day broadcast, to discuss diversity in corporate America.As a career-long accountant, Allen also continues to coordinate services for one of the firm's New York-based clients.He is a member of the Executive Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a board member of Accountants for Public Interest, and serves on the advisory board for the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA).Among Allen's other professional affiliations are the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPAs), National Association of Black Accountants, ALPFA and the AICPA.He also served as a National Vice President and national board member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and as a member of the board of trustees of the NJSCPAs and the Maryland State Society of Certified Public Accountants.Allen is active in many civic, educational and professional organizations.He serves as a board member of The Fund for the City of New York and on the Dean's advisory boards of the schools of business at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, Southern University and the University of Arkansas and the Diversity Advisory Board of Indiana University Kelly School of Business.Allen has also helped encourage minority students to consider careers in accounting through his participation in advisory boards for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants' Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession Program and the Accounting Career Awareness Program of the NABA.As a Governor's appointee to the Maryland Judicial Nominating Commission, Allen assisted in the selection process for state-appointed judgeships.Allen received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
