Mark Bostick
The Bostick family has a long standing tradition with the Gator Nation, and now the next generation has made their mark. Mark Bostick, president of Comcar Industries, joins his father as a Distinguished Director of GatorBoosters, followinghis generousdonation to the Gator golf programs.

A donation from Mark will help fund the course renovation completed in 2001. The renovation increased the course yardage to 6,701 yards, added 140 bunkers and new fairway green surfaces, making the course more challenging for our athletes, day in and day out. Through their generosity both father and son have greatly impacted the success of past, present and future Gator golfers.Year in and year out, our golf programs are highly ranked. The men's program is currently ranked No. 6 overall, with a coaches and facilities score in the top 10 percent, according to Golf Digest and the Lady Gators aren't far behind, with a ranking of 14 in the women's overall category. Over the years, the Florida golf programs have won numerous conference and national titles as well as produced a long list of PGA and LPGA stars. The continued success of the golf program can greatly be attributed to the generosity of our Gator Booster donors, such as the Bostick family. Mark began his time with the family-owned trucking business, Comcar Industries, washing rigs and sweeping the truck yard, eventually rising to his current position as president and CEO. Comcar Industries is run by Mark, and his father, Guy, who started it nearly 60 years ago after trading in the family car to purchase his first truck. In testament to family tradition Gator grad, Barrett, Mark's son and Guy's grandson, is a part of the Comcar team and is currently Director of Sales for Commercial Carrier Corp. Over the years, Comcar has become one of the 15 largest trucking groups in the U.S., with five trucking firms situated across the nation. Mark attended the University of the South for two years and ultimately received an economics degree and an MBA from Tulane in 1976 and 1977, respectively. He received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from his Alma Mater in 2006. Mark has three children, two of which are Florida alumni. While neither he nor his father attended Florida there is no doubt that Mark and Guy, and the entire Bostick family for that matter, are true Gators. -
