Bostick receives engineering award
...
John Bostick was recently named "Outstanding Engineer of the Year" during National Engineers Week.
The 2007 Engineers Week Banquet was held at the Vinoy in St. Petersburg, Fla., on February 23, by Honeywell.
Bostick, a 2002 graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is the son of Dwain and Lucy Bostick of St. Petersburg, Fla.

John was instrumental in identifying an FGPA timing issue related to a replacement part now being used due to obsolescence. The rapid diagnosis and resolution of this problem resulted in a quick return to normal production flow and shipment of products to the customer.
Bostick also undertook the task of transferring PII product from Honeywell Minneapolis Labs to Clearwater. He single-handedly reverse engineered the product and test equipment to allow the PII to be built, repairing and tested in a cost effective manner. The improved repair cycle time delighted the customer.
Bostick was a member of the Simplified Survey System (S3) team and responsible for the design of the electronics housing. His lead in testing and integrating the S3 into the user's platform allowed Honeywell to penetrate a sole source survey application held for the last 20-years by one of their competitors.
