David Bonner has taught in the Department since 1974 and is a former Leicester student.He was promoted to Professor from April 1, 2004.He did his Masters degree in Canada.He is a public lawyer, specialising in social security law, civil liberties law, the protection of human rights and the law relating to terrorism.He is co-author of the annual Sweet and Maxwell four volume publication: Social Security Legislation.He is General Editor of that series and a co-author of Vols.I and II.
