Aaron Bond completed a Bachelor of Arts in Adaptive Physical Education and a Teaching Credential in Special Education from San Diego State University, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Special Education from the University of British Columbia.He has ten years of teaching experience in a variety of special education classrooms in the United States, Czech Republic, and Canada.His expertise is in teaching children with disabilities, specializing in the deaf and hard of hearing.Over the last 10 years, Aaron has collaborated with educators from diverse fields of study, including special education, outdoor education, educational technology, and performance arts.He has developed outdoor education programs for people with disabilities and leadership programs for at-risk youth.Currently, Aaron is a team member and research assistant at MERLin, the Multimedia Ethnographic Research Laboratory , at the University of British Columbia.In his research, Aaron integrates theories from educational psychology and design techniques from distributed learning for the construction of online communities for meaningful social experiences.
