WESTON -- Eileen Bogle is eager to introduce herself to the community as new director of the Weston Council on Aging.
"I welcome people to come down to the Council on Aging, to take a tour, get to know us and feel free to come by and introduce themselves to me," said Bogle, a Framingham resident.
Bogle joins the Weston community after spending 11 years as executive director of an emergency hunger assistance program in Natick. For 10 years before that, she was the executive director of a health care corporation in Boston.
"I really enjoy working with and for older people, so that was my initial attraction to the (Weston) job," Bogle said."This is my first time working at a Council on Aging."
Bogle succeeds Patricia Parslow, who was hired last September but left the Council on Aging earlier this year.

About two weeks into her new job, Bogle said she continues to learn more about the town and its residents.
"It's a very busy and very dynamic place. There's a lot going on here," Bogle said.
After a couple months working in Weston, Bogle said she hopes to have specific goals that she can outline to the community. For now, she said, it is too early in the learning stage for any detailed plan.
"I think that my goals for the next few months are just to meet participants, get to know the staff, get to know the programs," she said.
Bogle said it will take some time to determine what challenges she might face. She has kept a busy schedule, and she is impressed with what she has seen.
"I've tried to meet as many people as I can, observe some of the classes that are taking place, read some of the background material and get to know the people," Bogle said.
