Dr. Block began his work at St. Vincent's on Nov. 13, 2006 and brings 20 years of professional practice experience to his new role as Medical Director of Adult Neurology at the Institute.

Dr. Block serves as Medical Director of Adult Neurology, guiding patient care for Cerebral Vascular Disease/Stroke, Neuromuscular Disorders, Epilepsy, Neuroimmunological Disorders/Multiple Sclerosis, Movement Disorders and other disorders of the nervous system.
"Providing patients the very best of neurological care means we deliver the latest in diagnosis and treatment, but it also means more," said Dr. Block."Patients encountering problems of the nervous system are also worried about critical disorders and what that might mean for their lives.Offering excellent neurological care is also about addressing their emotional needs as well as their physical needs."
Dr. Block has served on national professional committees that have established practice standards for electromyography in the evaluation of Neuromuscular Disorders.He was also the Medical Director of a National Parkinson's Foundation Regional Referral Clinic for the treatment of patients with complicated cases of Parkinson's Disease.
