photo of Nancy J. Bloch Nancy Bloch has served as Executive Director and now Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) since 1992. She is also Ex-Officio member of the NAD Board of Directors. Raised in Miami, FL, Bloch holds a MA degree in Counseling and Guidance from Gallaudet University and BA degree in Psychology from the University of Miami, Florida. Prior to the NAD, Bloch was director of the Management Institute and adjunct professor in the School of Management at Gallaudet University.
Since 1977, Bloch has been actively involved with nonprofit, community, and education-based organizations serving deaf and hard of hearing children, adults and families. She is the first woman director of the NAD in its 125-year history and is now in her 13th year of service at the NAD.
