Merrilee is an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Workforce Education at Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane, Washington.She enjoys working for a community college and is a graduate of Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon.Merrilee assists in the creation and implementation of educational programs that help the regional labor force enter or re-enter the workplace.Many of the programs created are professional and/or technical in nature.

Merrilee is engaged to be married to her fiancé, Arjen Schuurman.They will be married in August 2005.Together they enjoy traveling, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and taking photographs.Merrilee also plays women's ice hockey during the fall, winter, and spring.In her spare time, she is learning to speak Dutch.This will become useful when she and Arjen move to his home country, the Netherlands, next fall.

Merrilee is very connected to her family.
