Eric Bloch manages the development of Laszlo's core product and the San Francisco-based development team.He holds an A.M. in Sociology and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, as well as a B. Sc.in Computer Science and Mathematics from Brown University.

Eric Bloch is working for Silicon Graphics and trying to finish his Ph.D. in sociology at Stanford.He has been living in the same apartment in San Francisco for the last six years, works for Eva Manolis '85, '87 Sc.M., and sees Bent Hagemark '90 regularly.

Eric BlochAs director of Engineering for Laszlo Systems, Inc., Eric Bloch manages the development of Laszlo's core product and leads the San Mateo-based development team.Bloch joined Laszlo from Incremental Images, a technology-based start-up that developed a 3D graphics application server, where he served as senior software engineer.Prior to Incremental Images, he was the technical lead in the Digital Media Software Engineering Group at Silicon Graphics, Inc.There he lead the design and implementation of SGI ShotMaker, an integrated set of utilities that provides frame-accurate, synchronized, real-time playback and capture of professional quality video and audio.ShotMaker is an integral part of SGI's HD I/O video product, which won several industry awards including the 2000 ITS International Monitor Award for Special Achievement in Engineering.

Before joining Silicon Graphics, Bloch worked at Oracle Corporation as a software engineer in the Tools and Multimedia Division as well as the UNIX Products Division.Prior to Oracle Corporation, he was a research assistant at the Stanford University Laboratory for the Study of Regional Systems and Social Processes, and at the Graphics Lab at Brown University.Bloch holds an A.M. in Sociology and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, as well as a Sc.B. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Brown University.
