   I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Glenn Bliss, President of General Distributing on behalf of our organization for his commitment as the Chair of our Board of Directors throughout the 2006/2007 year.
   
   Glenn's leadership abilities and strengths were of extreme value during a full year here at the Chamber. Please allow me to highlight some of the initiatives in which Glenn's involvement along with his talents were proven to be imperative: 2006 Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Board Retreat, the identification of goals to develop membership recruitment strategies which showed a marked increase in recruitment in comparison to previous years, led the Board of Directors in identifying important business initiatives during the 2007 Legislative Session again affecting positive change at the State level further impacting business within our community, an increase in education and business development through business seminars and events and continued development of our Business Expansion and Retention Program. This is certainly only a few of the initiatives Glenn was actively engaged in. I would be remiss if I did not mention Glenn also actively participated as a committee member for the Military Affairs Committee, volunteered for several events within Leadership Great Falls and stepped in to participate and garner further understanding of the economic impact that our Convention and Visitors Bureau Committee garners for our community and region.
