Cecil Bliss and his wife, Sharon, have been recognized for their outstanding dedication and support of the Samaritan Counseling Center through an anonymous gift establishing a fund in their honor. Rev. Bliss served as senior pastor at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Lincoln for 18 years prior to his retirement in 1998.
Consistent with Cecil and Sharon's visionary leadership in establishing the Samaritan Center in the mid-1980s, this fund will be used to develop new programs and to support the ongoing work of the Center. A heartfelt thank you to the donor for highlighting in such a fitting way the compassion and caring spirit of these two very special persons.
