www.iowastatedaily.com/vnews/d - [Cached]Published on: 11/13/2001 Last Visited: 11/13/2001
The idea is still in progress , said Abby Bliss , Inter-Residence Hall Association director of academic affairs.
We are still planning the format and what specific information will be available..
Bliss said students would be able to enter an AccessPlus screen asking them to donate their schedule.
Students may then respond by clicking yes or no.. If yes is chosen , students can submit their information and would be able to access other students' information. If students choose not to submit their schedule , they will not have the opportunity to view others' schedules , Bliss said.
...
The information will probably be name , address , telephone number and e-mail , Bliss said.
The other option would be to exclude addresses for students' privacy , she said.
Students have mixed feelings about the disclosure of their personal information.
I think it's a good idea because if you had to miss class for some reason , it would be very helpful to get the notes from someone , said Lexi Schlafer , junior in communication studies.
I'm not scared of having my address online. Besides , some people never check their e-mail..
...
Bliss said if students would like to give opinions on what information to post , they may go to the Academic Affairs Advisory Board Meeting at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Memorial Union Pine Room.
They can also e-mail her at abliss@iastate.edu.
