Scott Blight is the Vice President, Product Development, for CarBiz.com (USA), Inc. Mr. Blight Has been involved in software development, programming, sales and support since 1977.
Mr. Blight started as a Systems Programming Manager for Monroe Systems for Business. While at Monroe he developed the first PC based F&I System in Canada.
In 1982 Mr. Blight worked as a Programmer/Analyst with the Seaboard Life Insurance Company, a Canadian version of Ryan Group. Here he was instrumental in designing a new PC based F&I software program for the automotive industry. He was also responsible for maintaining a technical support program for a client base of 150 automobile dealers in Canada.
In 1985, Mr. Blight became the Director of Software Development for VDK Enterprises in Ontario where he developed a revolutionary F&I software program, and was responsible for the sales, support, and training of F&I software. He also trained F&I Managers in aftermarket product sales, and worked in dealerships as an F&I Manager.
In 1995, Mr. Blight became the Director of Software Development for Data Gathering Services, Inc., which became CarBiz.com. Mr. Blight worked with a secondary lender in Florida to develop an F&I program that included a "Pre-Qualify Sweep" module for Special Finance, the ability to send and receive applications by e-mail, and developed a unique method to deliver forms, upgrades, and programs via the Internet. In 2000 he developed a method of providing the CarBiz.com software over the Internet, in what is now known as an ASP application.
Mr. Blight's extensive experience in the Automotive Software business has led him to become one of the most exceptional and innovative developers in the industry. -
