   Ruth Blight is the Senior Pastor at Burnaby Christian Fellowship where she has served for 14 years in full-time ministry. Prior to joining the pastoral team at BCF, Ruth worked with the Counselling Group for 8 years as a Pastoral Counsellor and administrator of the ministry. Ruth counselled individuals and couples, focussing mainly in the areas of depression and anxiety; she also shared in the development of The Skilled Helper - an introductory course in Christian counselling which she taught for 10 years.
   
   She is an 'M.K." ("missionary kid") who spent her growing up years in Taiwan and Singapore. Ruth has been married 26 years. She and her husband Roy, a general contractor whose first love is leading congregational worship, make their home in Burnaby , BC.
