Susan Bleyle joined St. Bede's staff in Jan. 2003 as director of the ESL program.St. Bede's, Northlake and DeKalb got a good deal--Bleyle has a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and ESL and more than eight years experience in ESL programs.

"We first expected to measure our success by serving 20 persons per session, for a total of 80 students per year," said Bleyle.

"Our biggest challenges now are to identify partners in the area that are willing to help us spread the word to the Hispanic community about our classes," Bleyle said."We are also pursuing philanthropy for ongoing operating expenses and growth."
