Owner Ron Blevins says he believes in rejuvenating the area.
We see increased activity down there , he says , explaining why he chose downtown Youngstown for his second office supply store.
Blevins has owned another store in Austintown , Ohio , for nearly two decades. Formerly known as Blend Office Equipment , Blevins changed the name a year ago to Team Office after buying out his partner.
Four full-time employees operate the downtown location , which offers a full line of equipment supplies , new and scratch-and-dent office furniture , copier , fax and typewriter service and mechanics for repairs.
Although Blevins acknowledges there are some unresolved issues to moving downtown , such as parking , he stresses , My entire family believes in this project and will work hard to make it a reality. This was all done with private money , no subsidies..
Blevins says he spent $100 , 000 to renovate the store space and on inventory.
Separately , Blevins and his brothers Larry and Robert are renovating three other floors of the building to be leased for office space. That project is called The Youngstown Business Centre. We've had architects design flex space for professionals needing it on a temporary or permanent basis , Blevins explains.
That project , he adds , amounts to more than $100 , 000.
