   Josh became involved in young Democratic politics as a rank-and-file member of the Hendrix College Young Democrats.He was later elected President of that chapter, and helped transform the six-member organization into the largest Young Democrats chapter in Arkansas.
   
   In 2005, Josh was elected President of the Young Democrats of Arkansas where, with help from a YDA state partnership grant, he increased the chapter's annual budget from around $8,000 per year to around $130,000 for the current year.During his term, the Young Democrats of Arkansas were able to hire an Executive Director, double the number of chartered local chapters, and strengthen the infrastructure of pre-existing chapters.Over 1800 new young activists from around the state joined YDAR's active membership, with hundreds getting directly involved in campaign work.In 2006, YDAR executed their first peer-to-peer GOTV campaign where they increased young voter turnout by 34.7% from the last non-presidential election in targeted districts while overall turnout in those areas increased by just 2.3%.
   
   Josh was appointed Chair of the YDA Chapter Building Committee in 2006.In this capacity, he has helped navigate state presidents through the process of becoming partnership grant recipients so that they could accomplish their goals of increasing their active membership and getting Democrats elected.
   
   Josh currently resides in Little Rock with his girlfriend, Jessica, and his two Labradors.He works as the Public Affairs officer for Arkansas' Democratic Attorney General.

   I think all of the campaign operators in Little Rock know that Josh is one of the most hard-working, unassuming young activists in the state. He's serious and well-respected by everybody who has had the pleasure of working with him.

   Oh the joy of the fractured RPA at work on the Times blog, Hillbilly you obviously have some issues relative to Gunner taking the right stand when the largest fine ever levied by the FEC against a state party organization came down. When a GOP outsider calls for a criminal investigations into his own party, that tends to not sit well with the so called party "leadership." Gunner is actively traveling the state, this week he addressed groups in Saline, Faulkner and Crittenden County and his message is being well received by Republicans and Dems. The real Republicans, those who are outside the RPA Little Rock office elite, are working with him at the County level and very supportive of his race state wide.

   Josh is an arrogant thinks-he-knows-it-all who forgets that he's a 21 year old trying to play grown up. He has hired a personal assitant, who is the person that currently also serves as his chief-of-stfaff. He has also set up a personal office in DC with his own (his family's own) money. His leadership has been poor at best. He is too concerned with getting himself elected to a national office than accomplishing anything within the organization in Arkansas.
   
   He has shown repeated reluctance to work with the state committee.
   
   At the innagural College Dems conference in Hot Springs in February, while we were supposed to be coming back to the convention to set up things like a constitution, bylaws, and other things you typically do while setting it up, Josh blew off everyone at the convention (mind you, he was just elected chair of this caucus) to entertain guests at Oaklawn.
   
   He has also forged the signature of the group treasurer on checks to pay for things such as parking tickets.
   
   Shame there's not an election for president at the convention in April. Also, it's a shame that he is good friends with Willet, so we're stuck with his "leadership" for another year. Posted : YoungDem 3/24/2006

   What's so unbelievable about Josh hiring a personal assistant? If you're trying to deny that he has the money to do so, then take a look at the rolex on his wrist. What kind of 21 year old wears a rolex? Hiring an assistant would make no dent at all in his finances.

   In the meantime the Young Dems are being brought down by Josh's ineffectual leadership - and yes, Sid and Jess, Josh's proverbial lap dogs, I know you will come to his defense under every pseudonym available - but the fact of the matter is that everyone on the state committee knows that Josh has mishandled the YD accounts, blown off important meetings, is using the state YDs just to run for the nat'l College Dem office and is ruining what little organization is left of the Young Dems of AR.
