   Helen Bletsch , 68 , passed away Friday , October 19 , 2001 in Houston , Texas after a long battle with emphysema ,. A resident of Baytown for all of her life , she was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She worked at U.S. Steel from 1966 to 1986 where she retired , Helen was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and worked as a volunteer at San Jacinto Methodist.
   
   She is survived by her husband of more than 49 years , Anthony Bletsch of Baytown ; son and daughter-in-law : Wayne and Jan Bletsch of Crosby ; daughters : Lou Ann Bletsch of San Antonio , Sandra Turbeville of Baytown ; a brother : R.E. Mason of Caldwell ; five grandchildren : Erica Gibbs and husband Stephen of Crosby , Kristi Turbeville of Baytown , Jena Bletsch of Crosby , Michael Bletsch of Crosby and Randy Johnson of Crosby ; great-granddaughter : The Little Lady Kaylea Gibbs of Crosby ; special sister-in-law : Dorothy Harrison of Baytown , Hazel Bletsch of Nacogdoches ; numerous nieces , nephews and a host of friends.
   
   For those desiring , memorials may be given to a hospice of one's choice.
