   SIOUX FALLS -- Ken Beringer, Bailey Blethen and Rich Hanson will be honored with the Noel Olson Volunteer of the Year award during the NCC Honor Awards Dinner Monday, May 19 at the Village East Resort in Okoboji, Iowa.

   Blethen has served on the MSU Booster Club Board of Directors for several years. He has served as tournament chairman of the MSU First Bank/Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament for the past 13 years and director of the MSU Sports Classic for 12 years. Blethen was also a member of the MSU Presidential Committee on Athletics. He was inducted into the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1997 and has served as a volunteer assistant coach with the MSU men's basketball team. Blethen is a member of the Civic Center Task Force and director of the Mankato Basketball Association. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brown in 1959 and his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1963.
