Martha Bless

Martha Bless doesn't see many positive economic signs in Connecticut.

"I'm not really that optimistic," Bless, a Woodbury resident who teaches at Nonnewaug High School, said Friday."Gas prices are up, interest rates are going up, everything's going up ... (and) we're still at war, even though we all thought it would be over long before this.

"And as far as jobs are concerned," she added, "I just don't see that many companies moving into Connecticut."
