   As president and owner of the Hagerstown Suns , Winston is one of a few hands-on minor league baseball operators in the country and has been in the business since 1986.
   
   In addition to his work in Hagerstown , Winston is the first Vice President of the South Atlantic League and is on the Trustees of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues , representing the SAL.
   
   He Serves on the Board of Directors of the Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau and is a member of the Hagerstown Rotary Club and serves on their Board of Directors.
   
   Winston is a graduate of the University of Richmond and was a pitcher on the Spiders' baseball team. He has a daughter , Jenifer , and a son , David.
