   Ernie Blenkle has mixed feelings about the Micromatic II's demise.
   
   For more than 30 years, St. Charles-based Dukane Corp. manufactured thousands of Micromatic filmstrip projectors that were sold all over the country. The last one, Model 28A81C, was sold in the early 1990s, Blenkle said.
   
   "They're out there still," said Blenkle, the Dukane technician who repairs the machines.
   
   Each week, he gets about five calls for help.
   
   With several timing systems that can go bad, the Micromatics are not Blenkle's favorite machine to work on. He's more concerned about the future of overhead projectors, his specialty, which are slowly succumbing to computerized versions.
