Sandra Blenkinsop is a full professor currently teaching courses in reading methods, writing methods, oral and written language development, literacy research and theory, and the assessment and teaching of children with reading problems. Her research has focused/is currently focusing on: the integration of language arts and science, children's literacy practices in school, school literacy and peer culture, parent support for literacy development of children with reading problems. She is particularly interested in critical media literacy and is currently making an in depth exploration of what it is and how to teach it.
