   Mary Blemler: Design Assistant Mary Blemler, Design Assistant, has been with Ann P. Stokes Landscape Architects since April 2005. She is responsible for design, construction documentation, and permitting for various residential and institutional projects.
   
   After almost six years, Ms. Blemler recently moved from a design assistant position at a landscape architecture firm where her duties included construction documentation, cost estimation, and conceptual design development. While there she developed a particular expertise in water features including commercial water parks, fountains, and residential and public swimming pools. In addition, Ms. Blemler has also worked as a production assistant for an artist in Chicago working in acrylics.
   
   Her current projects include the construction documentation for the Student and Academic Services Building at the University of North Carolina and Mary's Garden at the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. In addition, Ms. Blemler coordinated the bidding for a new garden at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia. She also assists in obtaining permits and developing construction details for residential projects.
   
   Ms. Blemler is currently pursuing her Landscape Architecture certification. She studied AutoCad and technical drafting at Tidewater Community College. While traveling around the world with her now retired Navy husband, she also studied accounting at National University and business at San Diego State University.
