   Long interested in the preservation of the city's rich architectural history, Sandy is actively involved in the optimal utilization of historic buildings under financially favorable conditions for all involved. Her personal and professional contacts bridge the art world, the corporate world and extended community of the diverse city of Los Angeles.
   
   BROKER and CONSULTANT Sandy Bleifer, founder and principal of DownTown Enterprises, is responsible for bringing new amenities to the Historic Core: Side Street Projects to the Old Bank District and Cal State LA as the anchor tenant/ catalyst for Tom Gilmore's St.Vibiana Project.

   Sandy is a licensed real estate broker. She was responsible for the sale of the Victor Building, a downtown icon that is being converted to lofts and the Holly Hills Office Tower, also slated for housing.
   
   Sandy co-founded Angels Walk LA, an organization that charts pedestrian-friendly walks to places of historic and cultural interest downtown in order to create a pedestrian-friendly community to meet the needs of business, academia, and the arts.
   
   In 1999 she began the Fashion Business Incubator, which provides business support to start up and early stage apparel manufacturing companies in the Fashion District and now helps place companies launched by the incubator in the Fashion District downtown.
   
   She serves on several downtown organizations developing key revitalization projects: the Los Angeles Red Car, the Broadway Initiative's Task Force, the Education Committee of the Central City Association and the LA Job Corps Community Outreach Committee.
   
   Artist As a professional artist for over thirty years, she has had more than fifty national and international exhibitions and is represented in over 300 private, corporate and museum collections. Sandy painted a public mural, "Can of Cardines" on a freeway underpass in Encino featured on the front page of the Los Angeles Times in 1975 that foretold our present transportation crises. She established the first OASIS cultural and wellness programs for seniors in Los Angeles. She served as artist-in-residence for the Beverly Hills schools and was co-author and publisher of an award winning interdisciplinary teaching program, "Art is About,"
   
   In 1995 (the 50th Anniversary of the end of WWII) Sandy orchestrated and produced an exhibition of her Hiroshima/Nagasaki Memorial Project in Japan and the US on a personal mission to heal the wounds of the war.
