Prior to founding Bleich & Burnett, Joe Bleich was elected and served as an Associate Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court for District 4 (Northeast Louisiana), from which he retired in 1997 after more than twenty years of public service.
Before serving on the Supreme Court, Joe (still referred to as "Judge" by friends and colleagues) served as First Assistant District Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District. He was later elected as State Representative for the 12th Representative District in 1979.
